I am pursuing a master’s in counseling, clinical mental health degree, from Liberty University. My goal is to become a Tennessee-licensed LPC-MHSP. I have a background in biblical counseling as I have served in Christian ministry as a college campus pastor and pastored and taught in church ministry for 35 years alongside my husband. For the past ten years, I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Williamson County School system, and most recently, I have worked as a domestic violence specialist for several years. I have counseled married couples, single women, and college students. These experiences have shown me how people – with empathy, insight, and collaborative problem-solving skills – can be empowered to solve and overcome mental and emotional challenges confronting them. It’s given me a strong desire and passion for working with married couples to build healthy relationships, help young people with self-esteem, and help individuals who wish to address and work through trauma issues. I will be working in the Franklin office.
I have been married for 28 years and have four adult children. My favorite thing to do in my spare time is to curl up with a great book – usually fiction – and enjoy the thrill of visiting other places without ever leaving my front porch!
