I am a counseling intern here at Insight Counseling Centers, and I am currently working to complete my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. After graduating, I plan to begin working towards my LPC-MHSP license.
Just as each person is unique and distinct, I believe that counseling should be uniquely tailored to meet the needs, goals, and personal values of each client; a person-centered approach. In working with clients, I strive to honor and affirm the worth of each person, collaborate with them throughout the entire counseling journey, and encourage and empower each individual as they work to reach their goals. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients but have a special passion for working with adolescents and adults who are seeking help for things such as life transitions, anxiety, self-image issues, spiritual issues, or relationship issues.
On a personal note, I am a wife and mother. In my moments of free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and baking, reading, writing, singing, and painting (watercolors).
