Appointment Availability
We have therapists immediately available for appointments. We offer counseling sessions in-person in our nine office locations and online through telehealth. Therapists at Insight set their own schedules, and some choose to offer evening and weekend appointment times. New appointments are scheduled out at least two days in advance.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
Your therapist’s goal is to support you. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming or intimidating, especially if this is your first time. So, making you feel at ease is the first priority. Your therapist will introduce themselves and answer any questions you have. During your first session, they will go over some important information about the therapy process and give you space to share your mental health concerns. Therapy sessions last a minimum of 50 minutes.
Setting Up Your Appointment
When you reach out to schedule your first counseling appointment, our Intake Practitioners will guide you through the process of connecting with a therapist, step by step.
- Contact the Intake Department: Send us a message or call us at 615-383-2115, extension 100.
- Intake Interview: We’ll ask you some questions about what you’re looking for, give you information about our fee (including info about using insurance, our income-based fee scale, or EAP benefits), help match you with the therapist who best meets your needs, and book your first appointment.
- First Session Forms: Once your appointment is booked, we’ll send you some forms to fill out in our secure patient portal before your first session. Insight staff members are available to help if you encounter issues in accessing your forms.
- Meet Your Therapist: Your therapist will introduce themselves and answer any questions you have. After you’ve met with your therapist for the first time, you’ll contact them directly to schedule all other appointments.
Please note: If you’re calling to schedule a therapy appointment for a friend or family member, we will be happy to answer your questions about our services. It’s our policy to conduct an intake interview with the person who will be receiving therapy, unless they are a minor. This is to ensure that everyone receiving therapy is a willing participant.
