Hello and welcome! My name is Danae. I am a counseling intern completing my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am honored that you are here, taking the first step toward healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. We are hardwired for connection, and a collaborative relationship is the foundation of effective therapy where safety and acceptance foster vulnerability and growth.
Taking that first step to seek therapy can be daunting, but I commend you for your bravery in pursuing support. Together, we can explore your experiences, emotions, and goals to help you navigate life’s challenges and create positive change.
A little about me: I am the mother of seven. I have been married, divorced, and remarried for ten years. Together, we have traveled the road of foster care and adoption, and all of life’s ups and downs have contributed to the person I am today.
I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, transitions, and more. My approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques to tailor treatment to meet your unique needs.
My aim is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insight, and develop coping skills to improve your well-being.
