Suicide Risk Assessment and Prevention in Older Adults

Older adults face unique risk factors for suicide, including physical health challenges, cognitive changes, social isolation, and existential concerns. Insight Counseling Centers partnered with Mental Health America of the MidSouth to offer a free training on suicide prevention specific to the older adult population. Introducing ACPE’s Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy Training Program

The Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) Training Program, a 30-hour training program for mental health professionals and graduate students on working with clients' spirituality in session, was developed by ACPE: The Standard for Spiritual Care & Education and consists of ten 3-hour courses. Participants who complete the 30-hour curriculum are eligible to pursue certification in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy by completing 20 hours of consultation with an ACPE SIP Trainer.
