Monét C. Shell is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and serves as Director of Clinical Services at Insight Counseling Centers.
“I am driven by a passion to encourage effective ways to resolve internal and external conflict.
We convey our needs in verbal and non-verbal language daily, yet communication remains one of the top complaints presented in therapy. This shows me that communicate is a word that does not always have a shared definition. Many times, we continue to interact with others in the ways that we have learned, whether that way yields satisfactory results or not. To relieve conflict, it is helpful to ask for what is needed and create boundaries when what is needed isn’t obtainable. This happens as ineffective ways are identified, acknowledged, unlearned, and replaced with ways that are effective during conflict, which will inevitably happen.
I would be honored to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to process these challenges, implement changes, and discover peace.”
Monét re-centers by looking for ways to spend quality time, share ideas, and laugh with family or friends. She is energized by finding new restaurants to explore or creating new experiences.
