It is estimated that more than 20% of the population will experience a mental health concern in any given year. It’s reasonable to expect that this will affect the workplace. Yet supervisors often feel inadequate when a staff member discloses a mental/behavioral health issue.
Insight Counseling Centers hosted an informative, one-hour webinar designed to support HR professionals, department directors, and CEOs in navigating employee mental health concerns while creating a workplace environment that supports mental wellness. One hour of CEU credit was available from Middle Tennessee SHRM. The presenters shared a PDF of resources that are helpful in assessing and supporting mental wellness at work, available for download at the link below.
About the Presenters
Monét C. Shell is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and serves as Director of Clinical Services at Insight Counseling Centers. She holds Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University and specializes in helping individuals and couples with conflict management, anxiety/depression, and self-worth and identity alignment.
Josh Medeiros is a pre-licensed therapist and sees clients at Insight Counseling Centers’ offices in Cheatham County and Clarksville. He is a graduate of Divine Mercy University’s School of Counseling where he simultaneously completed training as a Certified Clinical Traumatologist with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. In addition to trauma-focused work using EMDR and Brainspotting, he works with couples, parents, and those struggling with mood-spectrum disorders.
